Marianne Sheely is the proprietor of MPS Tax and Accounting Services LLC and specializes in providing expert tax planning, preparation, and compliance services for individuals, trusts, foundations and businesses. With over 30 years of experience, Marianne offers an impressive range of services.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University, as well as a partial Master's in Taxation from DePaul University, Marianne has the education and background to approach any challenge with skillful determination.
Marianne has also been employed at several prestigious accounting and law firms, including RSM US LLP, doing tax compliance for high net worth individuals; Mayer Brown, a top tier law firm in which she worked as a wealth management tax administrator and prepared estate and gift tax returns; Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, LTD, she prepared taxes at a top 25 accounting firm in Chicago. Her most recent employer of 17 years is a multi-generational family office where she oversees timber, real estate, outside partnership investments, securities, and income tax.
